Sasaki no Pii-chan
Tired and unfulfilled by his dead-end job, Sasaki decides to adopt Peeps, an adorable pet Java sparrow. Peeps, however, is really Piercarlo, a powerful sage from another world! After Peeps bestows Sasaki with magic and the ability to cross worlds, the two decide to export household items for profit in pursuit of a leisurely lifestyle. But when Sasaki’s new magic gets him mixed up in a whole other kind of supernatural struggle back in Japan, will it destroy his chances of realizing the relaxing life of his dreams?

Mature Everyman meets otherworldly weirdness. This has it all -- interesting but realistic characters, a more adult take on the standard isekai setup, and nearly unlimited potential for original drama with a suitable leavening of comic relief and action. I would certainly like to see the rest of the series.

This one was fun. Yes, the isekai trope is there, but there is actually a lot more to it. There are several concurrently moving plotlines that makes the show seem to be jumping around at times. But, it is fairly well animated, and I enjoyed all the plotlines.

No plan goes as planned and neither does this anime. It starts out as run of the mill 'reverse' isekai and ends up with some secret organization. There is still why Pii-chan was booted out of his own world and ended up as he is now. I suspect it's complicatedbut funny all the same.
