Oi! Tonbo
Tonbo Ooi lost both of her parents in a car accident when she was young and was raised by her grandfather, Gonji Ooi, a fisherman on the island of Kagoshima in the Tokara Islands. Tonbo learns to play golf while using her father's inherited No. 3 iron on the island's three golf courses, which were built by the islanders themselves.
Tonbo Ooi a perdu ses deux parents dans un accident de voiture lorsqu'elle était jeune et a été élevée par son grand-père, Gonji Ooi, pêcheur sur l'île de Kagoshima dans les îles Tokara. Kind of a nice slice of life anime with a sport twist. Tonbo ... tomboy girl with a wicked slice. Though it's not apparent why the male protagonist is included at first. It might matter later as on as they story builds. If you ae an action freak, you're going to pass on this one though.

I want to call this a magical girl show, only in this case the "wand" is a 3-iron, and it looks like her familiar is going to be a washed-up professional golfer. But I won't because that would be taking a metaphor too far. It might shape up to be a fun series though.

A very enjoyable show about an older man looking to restart his life in a new place; a remote island off the japanese mainland. Makes friends with the granddaughter of the family he is temporarily staying with. Very colorful, nicely animated, good use of humor in the writing. Has a cat.
