Mechanical Arms
One day, Amatsuga Hikaru, a junior high school student living in Kitakagami City, meets the mysterious "Ude"-shaped mechanical life form Alma. Alma attempts to bind to Hikaru's body in order to obtain energy from him, but fails. To his surprise, it binds to the hoodie that Hikaru was wearing. Meanwhile, the "Kagami Group," a large corporation that plans to enslave the Mecha-Udes and turn them into weapons, is in pursuit of Alma. ARMS, an organization working to save and free the Mecha-Udes, also searches for Alma. Hikaru, unable to abandon the weakened Alma, puts on the hoodie that Alma has bonded with and gets caught up in the great events unfolding among the Mecha-Ude users......
Un jour, Amatsuga Hikaru, un lycéen vivant dans la ville de Kitakagami, rencontre la mystérieuse forme de vie mécanique en forme d'Ude, Alma. Alma tente de se lier au corps de Hikaru afin d'obtenir de lui de l'énergie, mais échoue. À sa grande surprise, il se lie au sweat à capuche que portait Hikaru. Pendant ce temps, le "Groupe Kagami", une grande entreprise qui prévoit d'asservir les Mecha-Udes et de les transformer en armes, est à la poursuite d'Alma. ARMS, une organisation travaillant pour sauver et libérer les Mecha-Udes, recherche également Alma. Hikaru, incapable d'abandonner Alma affaibli, enfile le sweat à capuche avec lequel Alma s'est lié et se retrouve pris dans les grands événements qui se déroulent parmi les utilisateurs de Mecha-Ude ......

Remember watching preview of this back at International Fan Fest Toronto or IFFT. Not the same episode but still it has this Kill La Kill feel to it. Nice blend of comedy and action.

This is pretty short on backstory, but the excellent action scenes and the mysterious badass girl more than make up for it.
