Gundam GQuuuuuuX
Amate Yuzuriha is a high-school student living peacefully in a space colony floating in outer space. When she meets a war refugee named Nyaan, Amate is drawn into the illegal mobile suit dueling sport known as Clan Battle. Under the entry name "Machu," she throws herself into fierce battle day after day, piloting the GQuuuuuuX. Then an unidentified Gundam mobile suit pursued by both the space force and the police appears before her, along with its pilot, a boy named Shuuji. Now their world is about to enter a new era.
Amate Yuzuriha est une lycéenne qui vit paisiblement dans une colonie spatiale flottant dans l'espace. Lorsqu'elle rencontre un réfugié de guerre nommé Nyaan, Amate est entraînée dans le sport illégal de duel mobile suit connu sous le nom de Clan Battle. Sous le nom d'entrée « Machu », elle se lance dans une bataille acharnée jour après jour, pilotant le GQuuuuuuX. Love the character art style. Very modern design. Nice action without anything looking obviously CG. Music is your typical high energy J-rock, which is whatever.

This is off to a good start. We learn just enough to whet the appetite for the next episode.
The gundams look like what I would expect, but the characters have a unique design to them that I cant quite place.
Its about what I would expect from from gundam at this point, complete with a random bumpkin managing to pilot the most sophisticated gundam ever built.

Not quite a sequel to Witch from Mercury but action packed all the same. Art style is funky and takes it hints from hip hop culture. The music is on par with most of the new shows. It doesn't have the grab that Witch from Mercury had but it's good all the same.

I guess the Gundam series are pretty old, with a huge backstory built up. Without being familiar with that, I had a lot of trouble figuring who the bad guys were, and whether they were really "bad" or just officious. The action was passable if a little hard to follow. There wasn't a lot of character development either, but I guess I might like watching the protagonist, as long as they don't lean too heavily on the high school angle.
