Gankutsuou

Albert was a boy who had been born to a noble family in Paris. He made a journey to the moon with Franz to escape from their tedious lives. On the moon, he met a millionaire calling himself the Count of Monte Cristo. The Count lived a life of splendour in a rich hotel, with beautiful women waiting on him and strong men guarding him. Albert was fascinated by this Count who seemed to know everything, and the two became friends. Albert eventually invited the Count to visit him in Paris.

Reviews

Kenneth

"A stunning variation of the Count of Monte Cristo from apparently the victum's point of view! Funky visuals are in there to boot!"

Lady Erika

"Skip the start theme, The show caught my attention - ending good."

humanbean

"very nice. an imaginative, stylish and disturbing series. however, the male vocalist in the opening sequence has to go."

Ms Jadey

"The only thing that sucked was the opening theme. the rest was incredable visuals. Enchanting storyline. The Count is Sex. I'm in love."

Nekoko

"[LOVE!] the style kinda struck me at first but it grows on you. I do really enjoy the vampire theme, especially since he gets a pretty boy under his control. Plus the setting is nifty. Please show more!"

Pika

"Not the type of anime I would watch again. The only thing I liked was the ending."

Princess Sara

"Count of Monte Cristo was different from any other anime I have seen. It was very interesting due to the fact that I didn't and couldn't figure out exactly what the count was."

Seto Ra

"Follows an excellent storyline. Beginning theme sucks, ending theme kicks ass! I want to see more!"

Michael Eh?

"Incredible though the digitally painted textures of the characters stay fixed though the character moved was distracting at times. Other than pure breathtaking visuals which any producer should take note of. The goal of the Count seems clear to destroy the young impressable prey. His motives for doing so are unclear at this time."
