Surprisingly serious origin story, leaving room for a little comic relief.

First off, the animation style threw me off. I got this "uncanny valley" vibe from it. The story is decent enough, but I'm not usually big on samurai stories, and this one didn't really give me a reason to follow it.

A good start to a series. Great setup but it's hard to see how this will continue. The characters are good. Need to watch second episode to truly judge but it's pretty good as it is.
