Shikabane Hime: Aka

The story starts off with a bunch of high school students, taking the dare to go up to this abandoned building that has been half destroyed by a fire. It was rumoured to be haunted. Just a rumour, right? Not when real corpses start showing up, and they start feeling things grabbing them, and finally zombies going after them!
Shikabane Hime is there to save the day. The immortal girl, “Shikabane Hime,” has the mission to “kill” 108 corpses. It’s a contract she has between herself and the Buddhist monk, Keisei. After 108 corpses, she will finally get her happiness and go to heaven.

Michael Eh?
A perfect tale like Blood+ but this time with zombies or shikabane. Aka is the perfect zombie as a corpse princess with guns. This supernatural thriller is a winner.
Fanboy Ash
hot school girl with guns, what's not to adore?
Maxy
Not bad, decent plot but the guns could have been bigger. Even so, not bad overall.

The dead girl walking is cool; firing uzis with both hands is even better. But what really matters is that it made me curious about all of the characters. Enough, to want to see more of the series.

I defiantly agree with Michael Eh? on that its a very well done plot like Blood+ is, but I feel that the term "zombie" can't really be applied to what a Shikabane really is, I mean zombies are technically suppose to be mindless, brainless things meant only to kill, but a Shikabane is that of lingering regret, witch gives it the power to move of its own will, hence not mindless. lol argument about zombie or walking corpses aside.. this is a definite MUST SEE anime in my opinion, its well done, the characters were created and developed in a way that always keeps the viewer interested making it even more enjoyable. The first season was really crazy mad interesting, with the plot developing and you learning about the characters etc.. but wow did I get a smack when I watched the second season! If it's possible it was actually BETTER than the first, some anime tend to get rather lengthy and filler-tastic somewhere in the second season but this one doesn't and GEEZ the ending O.O makes me wonder if a third season is coming..(is there one? I haven't found it..) anyways its a definite MUST SEE on my recommended Anime watch list.
