Zom 100
In a trash-filled apartment, 24-year-old Akira Tendo watches a zombie movie with lifeless, envious eyes. After spending three hard years at an exploitative corporation in Japan, his spirit is broken. He can’t even muster the courage to confess his feelings to his beautiful co-worker Ohtori. Then one morning, he stumbles upon his landlord eating lunch which happens to be another tenant. The whole city’s swarming with zombies and even though he’s running for his life, Akira has never felt more alive.
Dans un appartement rempli d'ordures, Akira Tendo, 24 ans, regarde un film de zombies avec des yeux sans vie et envieux. Après avoir passé trois années difficiles dans une société d'exploitation au Japon, son esprit est brisé. Il n'a même pas le courage d'avouer ses sentiments à sa belle collègue Ohtori. Puis un matin, il tombe sur son propriétaire en train de déjeuner qui se trouve être un autre locataire. Toute la ville grouille de zombies et même s'il court pour sauver sa vie, Akira ne s'est jamais senti aussi vivant.

Dark and Depressing + Even Darker and More Depressing = Happy Ever After, for a little while. I'd watch a couple more episodes to see if they can sustain the originality.

A well animated, well written, great combination of comedy, fatalism, and carpe diem. I'm not a zombie guy at all, but I want to see where this kid's story goes, now that he's free of his shit job and terrible boss. Great use of color in fading out the saturation to reflect the main character's point of view on life, then exploding with color as he awakens to a new reality.

This one is fun, at least to me. What if your exploitive, dead end job suddenly disappears into a zombie apocalypse? This explores what the main character would do in that situation - namely a bucket list. The show ends up being funny in how it contrasts the "black company" employees to zombies at first, then later focusing on the hairbrained antics of the lead character.

This is beautiful. Absurd background, but only slightly exaggeration about being caught in a thought pattern and way of life.
