The story of a captive warrior woman, who so impresses the warlord chieftain who defeats her in single combat, that he falls in love and wants to make her his wife. Historically speaking, wedding the nobles (or stolen women) of defeated tribes was a not uncommon practice across the world, minus the women being the equivalent of Xena or Artemis. The art isn't terribly impressive or interesting, the lure here is the going to be the story, and the interaction between the protagonist and the chieftain/his assistants. Fundamentally it's a serious subject, but the direction of the show definitely is aiming for semi-comedic rom-com, rather than, say Misery/Stockholm Syndrome/etc.
