Koudo Ikusei Senior High School is a leading prestigious school with state-of-the-art facilities where nearly 100% of students go on to university or find employment. The students there have the freedom to wear any hairstyle and bring any personal effects they desire. Koudo Ikusei is a paradise-like school, but the truth is that only the most superior of students receive favorable treatment.
Ayanokouji Kiyotaka is a student of D-class, which is where the school dumps its "inferior" students in order to ridicule them. For a certain reason, Kiyotaka was careless on his entrance examination, and was put in D-class. After meeting Horikita Suzune and Kushida Kikyou, two other students in his class, Kiyotaka's situation begins to change.

For the run-of-the-mill high school dramas, this show is pretty lame. The story has little appeal. The twist was your allowance is tied to performance. Kind of expected. Just how this goes anywhere is the question let alone second season.

This was an interesting enough show. About halfway through episode one, I had figured there was another shoe yet to drop. It wasnt exactly a creative twist, but it worked. It might be interesting to see where this goes.

Good use of colour for the eyes. The two tone hair color fade is inconsistent between scenes with most of the characters in the show. The "points" (company scrip) incentive for performance appears to have had the reverse effect, with the majority of students feeling entitled to it, and then the bomb drops when the first of the month rolls around, and they've received nothing for their poor behaviour in class.
