Born into a life of acting and dance with a traveling theater troupe in 14th-century Japan, 12-year-old Oniyasha has one problem. He doesn’t know what the point of any of it is. Why must I step with the left foot here instead of the right? Why is one performance good and another bad? Why do people dance at all? It all seems perfectly arbitrary until a chance encounter in a run-down shack sets him down a path to revolutionizing the art form and influencing much of Japanese culture to come.

Braden
Another slow paced slice of life type of show, this one set in a long past era and focusing on a performing troupe.
I don't particularly care for historical themes,
I don't particularly care for dance or art themed shows,
and I don't particularly care for glacier paced shows.
I could maybe forgive one of the three, if the other aspects of the show were of any interest, but I saw very little to like about it.
I found it slow, dull, and silly (not in a good way). I think I have found my least favourite show of this season.
Doug
This show works hard to show the early days of Sanruku theatre, and the inner life of a young boy who struggles to understand it and to fit in. It's a serviceable historical drama.
Mr. G
Historical drama focused around Japanese Noh theatre/dancing. Good amount of animation and character emoting. Not a fan of the ending track, but thats just my opinion. Character designs are serviceable, and the dialogue writing is good.
Michael Eh?
Kind of fun slice of life of travelling theatre group. In spite of this being hostorical anime, it's pretty good.
