The enormous cave system, known as the Abyss, is the last unexplored place in the world. Finally, a series that really nails its first episode by naturally explaining the nuances of its world as relevant details and events happen during the story and gives a great sense of adventure while hiding the darkness that will come later. This had a good start. We were introduced to characters first, showing us who we will share the adventure with. | |||
Over time, we come to learn some of the world, and by the end of the first episode, you understand enough of the world to have a sense of how the characters fit in. | |||
All in all, this was one of the better first episodes I have seen. It was interesting, and made me want to learn more about the show. | |||

This had a good start. We were introduced to characters first, showing us who we will share the adventure with. Over time, we come to learn some of the world, and by the end of the first episode, you understand enough of the world to have a sense of how the characters fit in.
All in all, this was one of the better first episodes I have seen. It was interesting, and made me want to learn more about the show.
