The actual first episode make me think this is Utena in space though past this episode, I see this as Count of Monte Cristo where mother of Suletta Mercury is plotting her revenge against the ruling companies who were responsible for her family and friends' deaths years ago. This has HIGH production values and I have high hopes this will be one of the series to follow this season. Already there is calls to make this our next watch series for the club but I fear there will be a split seasons. | |||

First off; the production values are excellent. Animation, colour, music, backgrounds, CG animations for the future tech: it's all well done. The story starts off like a g-rated version of DxD, with "jerk-ass dude what wants to marry the protagonist's best friend". The main character is a well meaning, but super-shy daughter of mercutian parents, piloting an advanced gundam with a semi-autonomous drone system, capable of attack and defense near simultaneously, echoing the Playstation game Xenogears. Some Utena thrown in for good measure, with duels and the champion being betrothed to a particular heiress of a megacorp. It has a bit of everything; polkitical machinations, a private academy, mechs, science fiction, and maybe some shoujo for good measure. Genuinely impressed with the preview and first episode. | |||
