For me it seems very cliche and low budget. I'm a big fan of openings and endings and flat photos scrolling across the screen with little to no animation whatsoever are a bit of a turn off for me however I won't let it decide the course of the series, but it is a tell tale sign. I will give it props as it does have a sort of charm to it but that may very well be my nostalgia from when I grew up with series like this. It is hard to judge on the first episode, but it leaves a lot to desired. a lot.
