Having fun in school, doing together homework, cooking and eating, playing videogames, watching anime. All those little things make up the daily life of the anime- and chocolate-loving Izumi Konata and her friends which is portrayed here. Sometimes relaxing but more than often simply funny!
Based on a 4-koma manga by Yoshimizu Kagami, serialised in Comptiq.
=Reviews=
A great show, oronic, self referencial and aware of the whole otaku/anime culture. Catchy opening. This season's hare hare kai.
==humanbean==
i enjoyed this a lot. a show about nothing. very seinfield.
==Michael Eh?==
With all the fan hoopla about this show I was disappointed finally sitting down and seeing the first episode. It seem to be going nowhere. The only real good parts are the opening and '''Lucky Channel''' which may well prove to be the only comedy in this show. I can only hope that the DVD has a skip over option.
''Michael Eh? runs off ducking as fans start throwing pastries.''
==Risu-chan==
So far, having watched up to episode 19, I find this series to be amusing. Like humanbean mentioned, it's a show about nothing. Still, to me, this show is like a tasty little snack. Though it refers to many anime & manga, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is most often referred to. In some cases, Lucky Channel is even funnier: Akira's surly attitude and Minoru in general is hilarious.

[[Image:melancholy.jpg|right|thumb|175px|The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya]]
A far from ordinary school story starts here!

This is a story of Suzumiya Haruhi, who upon enrollment at school announced, "I have no interest in ordinary humans. If there are any aliens, beings from the future, or super-humans, come see me. That is all!"

Naturally, any normal person would think "What the...?" but Haruhi is dead serious. Things get crazy when everyone realizes just how serious she is about it all and establishes the "SOS Dan".
Suzumiya Haruhi is a good-looking high school girl who has a clear head, naughty personality and very egocentric thought. She has an unimaginably tremendous power to change the world, but she is totally unaware of her own power and so she is also unaware of the effect of her power on the outside world.
"The most amusing crap I've ever seen. High budget well animated show made to look like a crappy live action High School film. Wins the prize for the most creative frs episode of a TV series to date. Really REALLY funny stuff. has a nice ending theme too."
"If you stitched clips from fifty bad anime shows together, watched them with the sound off, supplied your own dialogue threw in comments from hecklers, produced a new anime to go with it using a completely amateur crew, then turned it into yet another anime showing the "making of" the first one, you'd get something like this - only not quite as funny."

==Cravenus==
"Watching this made me laugh. The production values were horrible, the special effects sucked, the dialogue was stale. But it was The silliest thing I've seen in a long time."

==Michael Eh?==
"What can a say for an anime which manages to copy EVERY amateur production error to finite detail? Brilliant. A complete look at crazy high school girl as she gets her friends and who else she can blackmail into this production. All I can say is there is a reason this anime is so popular that it's ending song is being mimic across the world on YouTube. What I can't exactly say but for high school drama, this one goes down in the books, maybe not in flames but it goes down, as being unique."

==Risu-chan==
"Fun and quirky. I think airing it out of chronological order may be part of the appeal of this show. The biggest draw to this show is the lots-of-frames-per-second ending dance sequence."
"Interesting story line. Almost non-stop action for a first episode will definitely keep watching."

==Heekun==
"As expected from CLAMP. Nicely animated, beautifully de-formed characters. Uniquely designed mecha. Set in a world where an aggressive British Empire has conquered Japan."

==humanbean==
"a little blood-thirsty for my taste and the main villains too relentlessly villainous."

==Michael Eh?==
"Other than using Celtic legends CLAMP has manage to clone their own version of Gundam Seed."

==Ultra Rob==
"Whoa.. Now that was different.

So, Sunrise, the makers of pretty much every mecha series done for TV (and home of Gundam anime through their partnership with Bandai) decided to team up with CLAMP (or cramp, as I call them...) and produce something... different... for this year's mecha epic.

The end result was... Well, after watching the first episode, I'll honestly say I don't know what that was I just watched really. The best way to describe it is what would happen if you mixed Gundam with Utena and a liberal dose of V for Vendetta."

==Doug==
"To the degree that the bad guys set the tone, I didn't care for this. They're just too nasty and more importantly, one dimensional and the protagonist doesn't seem too sympathetic either."
"I've never been really interested in megalomaniacs or mass murder, but this seems like a fresh approach. But not much scope for supporting characters or subplots yet."
"Everyone's wishes in their life that someone could die and to Hell without the consequences and Death Note makes it happen. And to cleanse the world of criminal scum, to have never worry for the safety of ourselves or our children; isn't that the ream of every thinking human being! An existence neither heaven or hell, is a small price to pay for being remembered as a saviour of humanity. Must buy."
"This manga, Death Note, is on every store order list. Yet when manga gets translated to TV screen, something goes horribly wrong. Not with Death Note. It's unbelievable that the producers could keep faithful to the book and keep the story and still be visually stunning. This anime will be on every store list as well."

Based on Nagaru Tanigawa`s "Suzumiya Haruhi" series of novels.

A delightfully strange, yet marvelously interesting story!
Ending theme "Hare Hare Yukai", performed by the show's leading voice actresses Aya Hirano, Minori Chihara and Yuko Goto, has spawned an international dance craze.
=Reviews=
==Vigi-Kami==
"The most amusing crap I've ever seen. High budget well animated show made to look like a crappy live action High School film. Wins the prize for the most creative frs episode of a TV series to date. Really REALLY funny stuff. has a nice ending theme too."

==humanbean==
"how can you improve on perfection itself? (Anime's answer to Ed Wood.)"

==Doug==

==Cravenus==
"Watching this made me laugh. The production values were horrible, the special effects sucked, the dialogue was stale. But it was The silliest thing I've seen in a long time."

==Michael Eh?==
When Darkness is light when light is darkness.
And beauty is truly ugly and that which is ugly is truly beautiful.

=Notes=
Yamato Nadeshoko Shichi Henge manga has been released English in North America under the name "The Wallflower" and in Singapore under the name "My Fair Lady"

Tomokazu Sugita, the voice actor behind the character Takenaga Oda also does the voice of Kyon from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

=Reviews=
==humanbean==
"it's ... different ... i, literally, no idea what to say."

==Heekun==
"The humour is comparable to Ouran Host Club but a bit more wackier and disjointed. Animation is not as great. Uses alot of shortcuts."

==Varheter==
"Interesting but slightly twisted plot. Has potential. Reminded me of another boy anime with 4 beautiful and rich guys in a prestigious school. (Ouran maybe?)"

==Michael Eh?==
"Pretty boy anime for the rest of us. 4 pretty boys, one psychotic girl with a knife and a skeleton for friends. What more would you want other that to keep watching to see if she adds them to her collection of macabre"

==Risu-chan==
Yamanade = Addams Family + Ouran + Pygmalion
Animation varies to over detailed in some parts to almost no detail & little animation in others.
The guys wear more tinted gloss on their lips than I do!
