Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin
Spoiled harvest goddess Sakuna finds herself banished from her opulent celestial home to an island overrun with demons. In the untamed wilderness, she must rediscover her birthright as the daughter of a warrior god and harvest goddess by weathering the elements, fighting monsters, and cultivating rice, the source of her power. By her side in this forbidding place is her guardian Tama and a group of outcast humans. Together, these unlikely companions must join hands to tame both the soil and the demons of Hinoe Island.
La déesse des récoltes gâtées Sakuna se retrouve bannie de son opulente demeure céleste vers une île envahie par les démons. Dans la nature sauvage, elle doit redécouvrir son droit de naissance en tant que fille d'un dieu guerrier et déesse des récoltes en affrontant les éléments, en combattant des monstres et en cultivant le riz, la source de son pouvoir. The title character is a little annoying, but I would really like to see more of that human family, and find out what homesteading is like on the demon island.

This show has some spectacular visuals and wonderous music, as well as an interesting plot that seems more steeped in traditional mythology. It takes a bit of time to get going, but once it does, it is actually quite endearing. I would go so far as to say this is the most well crafted show this season. It does become worth the watch if you can get past the slower pacing.

Tried playing the game but I suck at platform games. This is the basic opening of the game before the actual game kicks in. Not much is missed here other the basic premise of the story. Maybe if I give the series and the game more time, I would fall in love with both ... or neither at all.
