Oshi no Ko
Sixteen-year-old Ai Hoshino is a talented and beautiful idol who is adored by her fans. She is the personification of a pure, young maiden. But all that glitters is not gold. Gorou Amemiya is a countryside gynecologist and a big fan of Ai. So when the pregnant idol shows up at his hospital, he is beyond bewildered. Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know, an encounter with a mysterious figure would result in his untimely death—or so he thought. Opening his eyes in the lap of his beloved idol, Gorou finds that he has been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino—Ai's newborn son! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon learns that the world of showbiz is paved with thorns, where talent does not always beget success. Will he manage to protect Ai's smile that he loves so much with the help of an eccentric and unexpected ally?
Ai Hoshino, 16 ans, est une idole talentueuse et belle qui est adorée par ses fans. Elle est la personnification d'une jeune fille pure. Mais tout ce qui brille n'est pas or. Gorou Amemiya est un gynécologue de campagne et un grand fan d'Ai. Ainsi, lorsque l'idole enceinte se présente à son hôpital, il est plus que perplexe. Gorou lui promet un accouchement sûr. Il ignore qu'une rencontre avec un personnage mystérieux entraînerait sa mort prématurée - du moins le pensait-il. Ouvrant les yeux sur les genoux de son idole bien-aimée, Gorou découvre qu'il a renaît sous le nom d'Aquamarine Hoshino, le fils nouveau-né d'Ai ! Avec son monde bouleversé, Gorou apprend vite que le monde du showbiz est pavé d'épines, où le talent n'engendre pas toujours le succès. Parviendra-t-il à protéger le sourire d'Ai qu'il aime tant avec l'aide d'un allié excentrique et inattendu ?

Creepy as well as entertaining for a true drama. A rarity in anime. Sort of Perfect Blue but I'm finding this more of a movie than JUST a first episode. I can see how people are drawn in to this show. It stands on it's own as is. However, who done betrayed Ai... and what the series will actually go.

This show is kinda fun in its own way. There are definitely a lot of fun lines to be had from the premise, which is in itself a bit of a twist on some of the more common reincarnation tropes we have seen in recent years. There is a little idol, a little reincarnation, and some laughs from the combination. It was a fun watch, but not sure if i would follow it further or not.

The idol has some really wild art for her eyes. Literal stars in them. a 90 minute episode 1 is rather unconventional. I wonder if it got a small theatre release in Japan. The arc with the twins as babies has a very "Look Who's Talking" vibe to it, where they can talk and hear each other, but also eventually start talking to adults. Weird hijinks ensue as they try to keep their mother's history as an unwed teen mother a secret to protect her idol career. And then the worst happens.
