Beryl Gardinant, a self-proclaimed “humble old man,” is a sword instructor at his dojo in a rural, backwater village. In his younger years, he dreamed of glory as a master swordsman, but those days are long behind him. Out of the blue, he receives a visit from a famous former pupil who brings him world-shattering news. He’s been appointed as a special instructor for the knights of the Liberation Order! With his life now turned upside down, Beryl travels to the capital and reunites with some of his former students: elite knights, an ace wizard, and even an adventurer who’s attained the highest guild rank possible. But why do they all want his tutelage? As far as he’s concerned, they clearly don’t need him anymore. Can Beryl live up to his new position? And will he ever get a moment’s peace away from his adoring students?

Dans sa jeunesse, il rêvait de gloire en tant que maître épéiste, mais ces jours sont loin derrière lui. Soudainement, il reçoit la visite d'un ancien élève célèbre qui lui apporte une nouvelle bouleversante. Il a été nommé instructeur spécial pour les chevaliers de l'Ordre de la Libération ! Sa vie étant maintenant chamboulée, Beryl se rend dans la capitale et retrouve certains de ses anciens élèves : des chevaliers d'élite, un sorcier hors pair et même un aventurier qui a atteint le rang de guilde le plus élevé possible. Mais pourquoi veulent-ils tous sa tutelle ? Quant à lui, il est clair qu'ils n'ont plus besoin de lui. Beryl sera-t-il à la hauteur de son nouveau poste ? Et aura-t-il un jour un moment de paix loin de ses élèves chéris ?

Not exactly OP but experienced in everything but romance. This isn't that bad of a show. Still it's a harem anime at best, even if the old guy isn't interested.

This has to be every teacher's dream -- his students becoming successful and famous, and spreading the word about the hick-town sensei with mad skills that they need to bring their big-city guild up to snuff. But my favourite part is when his parents are so happy to see him go just because it brings them one step closer to grandchildren.
