This series was delayed but still missed the mark. One the plot failed to engage me. The soundtrack did not deliver the action at all. This ain't no Cowboy Bebop. The humor in the series seems dry and relying on gay trappings. It ended being a running gag. Other shows like Macross Frontier delivered better punch lines with a single character delivering key jabs to a scene. Unlike the rest of the shows this season, they delivered a full season without recap episodes or delays. If they had refined their humor and sound track this show would have been a contender of one best shows any season.

a bit offputting. 1st, Japanese animators quite frequently like to name-drop famous detectives. 2nd, the portrayal of the gay/trans scene is a little insulting. can't tell if it's good or not 'cause these things ruin the immersion for me.
