Hametsu no Oukoku
Humanity long lived in harmony with witches, but an advanced scientific revolution has made the powers of a witch unnecessary. Succumbing to resentment and fear, the greatest nation in the world begins a brutal witch hunt and eliminates all witches from the land. After being forced to watch his beloved teacher die, Adonis, a witch's apprentice, swears revenge on the empire that took everything away from him.
L'humanité a longtemps vécu en harmonie avec les sorcières, mais une révolution scientifique avancée a rendu les pouvoirs d'une sorcière inutiles. Brutal start to an series about hatred and revenge. A modern fable which keeps playing out everyday in our world. Racism, pride, hatred ... all leading to death. With the current affairs in Middle East and Ukraine, this show offers a poor outlook for humanity.

The best thing about this is the art style. The basic conflict just seems arbitrary, illogical and overwrought to me.

Strange combination of magic and technology. Witches are some strange separate lifeform that aren't human, yet humans can learn and use magic too? Hmm... The King of Humanity is cartoonishly evil. Very long pre-credits section to establish the origin of the main character, as the show takes place some 10 years afterward.

The story starts very interesting. I have a feeling the series deals a lot with a man character's quest to get revenge.
