Keitarou, who's always had a disposition for attracting spirits, gets hired as a tutor for a little girl named Yayoi who can see spirits and is searching for the spirit that took away her mother.

Creepy little girls go with creepy shows with comic relief. Twisted and warped. Just the thing for summer anime.

Just a personal thing, but I'm not a guy that likes the whole "weird eye pupils" thing. The background music is wonderfully "cartoon horror", like something out of the old Beetlejuice animated series. Creepy show where the kid can see spirits and... exorcises them? Last five minutes takes a turn for the dark.

This is a great blend of horror and everyday elements. There is some fun humour from the fact that the protagonist wants nothing to do with the world he finds himself in, but is constantly dragged there anyways by others. I like the animation style, and the touch of the girls strange eyes makes her aesthetic very striking. All in all, this is one of my favourite offerings this season, even though I find that I need to recharge my emotional batteries before watching an episode.
