March Toronto Anime Con

March 19th to 20th, 2011

March 19th, 2011

Once again MTAC had to contend with Toronto Sportmen's Show taking the lion share of MTCC.

MTAC wasn't only thing on tap. Yugi'oh Regional Qualifier was also being held.

Sucker Punch'd

Once again, movie promotion was in high gear with the movie Sucker Punch with artists doing charactures of patrons.

Dealers Room

Dealer's room remained the main attraction of MTAC. The only thing that really grabbed my attention was the Japanese confections of one booth.

Doll MTAC wasn't a presence as past years. Alas all I got a photo this lone plushie.

Guests

....

....

Game shows keep a few people entertained.

Sigings

It seems the 'International' guests drew the most attention in the Dealer's room. Leaving the local voice actors with more time talk and enjoy their coffees.

Photography

Photograph changed as photographer from Super Kawaii magazine taking professional photographs at MTAC.

Aftermath

Catching the wave...concrete wave of Harbor Front.

After the show, I tried a new direction than my usual going north to Tim Hortons to south to Harbor Front and a dog friendly Williams.

Hey bud, get your own... lol.

In the End...

Once again I missed the December TAC due to conflict with our Christmas meeting. This MTAC would be the last. Toronto Anime Con was rolled into Toronto ComiCon. The Rising Sun had set on MTAC/DTAC. With decline in attendance and competition for space in MTCC, it was inevable end to a great event. I sad to see Toronto Anime Con go and I hope that something can take it's place.
