Someday's Dreamers: Summer Skies
The story is set in present day Tokyo. Much of the setting is based upon real areas, the more obvious ones being the Shibuya Crossing and Tokyo Tower. The main backdrop of the series where they all reside is in Shimokitazawa, roughly 6 minutes west of Shibuya on the Keio Inokashira Line. In Tokyo is the Bureau of Magic, which employs Mage Labour for certain special requests by everyday people. However, the mages must only use their magic with special permission, and any unlicensed use results in a penalty.

Reviews
Michael Eh?
Unique blend of live seetings and 2D animation. A coming of age in rural northern Japan. A welcome contrast to Sora's living in Tokyo. The concpet that magic powers are something like super powers in that the ability is tied to genetics is an interesting take on the Heros theme. Except these mutants of magic are licensed and trained by the goverenment and respected by population.

It feels a bit like Harry Potter in a sun dress, allowing for the differences between Hogwarts and Tokyo. I should get a lot interesting once it gets into the spells and the practical challenges set for the students.
Maxy
An interesting mix of animation and reality with use of digital photos used for background and foreground shots. Unique concept. The main character and a boy who appears to be a future rival (this is a prediction) will make for interesting content for future episodes.
