In the far future, war has destroyed the entire Earth, leaving only a barren wasteland called Sand Land where the supply of water is controlled by the greedy king. In search of a long-lost lake, Sheriff Rao asked the king of the demons for help... and got the king's son, Beelzebub, and his assistant, Thief. Together the unlikely trio sets off across the desert, facing dragons, bandits, and the deadliest foe of all... the King's Army itself!

Dans un futur lointain, la guerre a détruit la Terre entière, ne laissant qu'un désert aride appelé Sand Land où l'approvisionnement en eau est contrôlé par le roi avide. À la recherche d'un lac perdu depuis longtemps, le shérif Rao a demandé de l'aide au roi des démons... et a obtenu le fils du roi, Belzébuth, et son assistant, Thief. Michael Eh?

At least this aired before Akira's untimely death. The CGI of the show really enhanced the entire show to the point you forget it since it blends so well. The acting is solid, the characters are believable. This is a classic that deserves all the love it can get.

The animation has a wonderful look. Has a real "What if Akira Toriyama made an adaption of Mad Max?" feel to it. The characters are, as always, enjoyable to learn about.

Mad Max with the Dragonball art style -- not original, but it may have potential.

This show is basically what would happen if Akira Toriyama made Borderlands. It makes me realize just how much I will miss the characters Toriyama would create. Most of them looked like something he had already done, but it was always fun to see what he would do. I had fun watching this one. It has a fun atmosphere and like all his works, does a good job of being just playful enough that it is not taking itself too seriously without being outright silly. All in all, I would recommend this one.
