Kamogawa is a seaside city in the Chiba prefecture. There lives Kyouno Madoka, a student at Kamogawa Girl's High School, and the only member of the Jersey Club. Madoka prides herself on being bright and energetic, and spends much of her time helping people.
However, her life changes one day when the mysterious girl Ran asks her to "pilot a robot". In order to protect the citizens of Kamogawa, Madoka agrees and engages in battle against extraterrestrial invaders.
Madoka and Ran are later joined by Muginami, and the trio works together to protect the Kamogawa seas, piloting robots calls Works.

Reviews

Michael Eh?

Right mix of humour. Giant robot gendre will never be the same. Loving the main character. Such a tomboy and piloting a giant mech with such hilarious moves. Giant robots meets Blue Drop.

Dark Draygoon

Gundams ... er, I mean giant robots, explosions and Suggested yuri? Sounds like a good anime.

Maxy

It's ok. Too soon to say more, but I could think of 5 different moves Madoka could have used to defeat the other mech and look better than a german suplex.

Doug

I really like the cute nonconformist main character. it was hilarious that her first recruit for the Jersey Club turned out to be an alien who wanted her to pilot a giant robot. It goes to show that high school makes a kind of boring setting, until you add magic or aliens or robots - tow out of three is pretty good.

humanbean

main characters are appealling w/o being saccharine; unconventional w/o being "wacky". storyline is ok. no big surprises though. worth watching.
