Reviews

Doug

"The main character in this show is kind of dull. I didn't even catch his name but I liked the story. So the series might still be interesting if he is just used as a device to hang the episodes on. The story of Shinna and Lenzu is thoughtful and satisfying tale of the boundary between reality and the world of deep magic."

Miku

"I found the first episode to be beautiful and interesting. I would like to learn more about the world of mushi and the main character, Ginko the mushishi."

Cravenus

"Nice artwork and story. very intellectual. It will be nice to see where it goes."

Vigi-Kami

"Beautiful music, superb animation, pleasant designs and gorgeous scenery. Very Miyazaki-esque. A slow and drifting story that moves like beautiful poetry. Definitely a winner in my opinion."

"Mushishi seems like a quiet thoughtful series. The first episode was reminiscent of Haya Miyazaki's films and also Kino's Journey. I enjoyed it."

humanbean

"slow pace and thoughtful. a nice change from frantic humour and violence."

Michael Eh?

"This show deals deep into the core of Japanese beliefs. It deals deep into the world of Miyazaki's forest spirits from Princess Mononoke and places in a modern setting. For mindless action freaks, you might cringe at this show but fear not! You'll be loving this show later. Some thinking required."
