Houseki no Kuni
In the distant future, a new immortal and genderless life form called Gems populate the Earth. The 28 Gems must fight against the Moon Dwellers, who attack them regularly to abduct them and to turn them into decorations. Each Gem is assigned a role, such as a fighter or a medic.
Being only 300 years old, Phosphophyllite is the youngest of the Gems and has no assignment yet. Phos to help to fight the Moon Dwellers, but is too weak and brittle for battle. One day the master of Gems, Adamantine, assigns Phos the task of creating a natural history encyclopedia.
Dans un avenir lointain, une nouvelle forme de vie immortel et sans genre appelée Gems peuplé la Terre. Les 28 gemmes doivent se battre contre les habitants de la Lune, qui les attaquent régulièrement pour les enlever et les transformer en décorations. Chaque gemme joue un rôle, comme un combattant ou un médecin.
Étant seulement 300 ans, la phosphosphélite est la plus jeune des gemmes et n'a pas encore d'affectation. Phos pour aider à combattre les habitants de la Lune, mais est trop faible et fragile pour la bataille. Un jour, le maître de Gems, Adamantine, attribue à Phos la tâche de créer une encyclopédie d'histoire naturelle.

I really liked this. The visuals were stunning. From the first few frames, the characters had a shine to them, suggesting a gemstone-like quality. It was obviously CG, but it was done in an impressive way.
The characters and plot were developed in a very unique and deep way. Considering that the basic premise is that there is an enemy invading constantly, the story was very well developed.
All in all, this is my favourite of the new shows I have seen in 2017.

Interesting opening to what may be an interesting anime. The art style is a different choice since it's CGI. Not a bad choice though seems to be nicely done.
