I usually don't like sports anime, but this one did have a bit of heart. | |||
The animation was actually fairly well done, and the characters had a motivation that made them somewhat sympathetic. They were a bit heavy handed with the "rebellious outsider" vibe for the main character, and likewise overdramatized the golfing. | |||
All in all, it was okay, but again, i'm not big on sports anime, so I'll likely pass. | |||

Not sure what to make of this, except to say that golf does make an interesting change from fighting monsters, building harems and all the other usual anime content. (Not that I have anything against that, but I do like variety.) Unfortunately though, I didn't really warm up to any of the characters. | |||

An illegal resident who is a golf prodigy, hustling folks for money to support their family. Adds a little bit of anime weirdness and superpowers on top. Likeable characters, sympathetic story, a secret underworld, decent production values. It's fun. | |||

I usually don't like sports anime, but this one did have a bit of heart. The animation was actually fairly well done, and the characters had a motivation that made them somewhat sympathetic. They were a bit heavy handed with the "rebellious outsider" vibe for the main character, and likewise overdramatized the golfing. All in all, it was okay, but again, i'm not big on sports anime, so I'll likely pass.
