Humans have created many stories. Joy, sadness, anger, deep emotion. Stories shake our emotions, and fascinate us. However, these are only the thoughts of bystanders. But what if the characters in the story have "intentions"? To them, are we god-like existences for bringing their story into the world? Our world is changed. Mete out punishment upon the realm of the gods. In Re:CREATORS, everyone becomes a Creator.

The art style is kind of flat; otherwise this is a near-perfect exploitation of one of my favourite themes -- a group of characters who unexpectedly begin to transcend their native reality. Judging from the preview, there's even some subtle comic relief.

This story does an excellent job of setting up premise without giving up everything. Leaving the viewer wanting to watch more to piece together what is going on. Great series.

The first episode is *slightly* misleading in that while the series has some action scenes it's closer to being a psychological thriller with LONG periods of exposition and conversations. Still great if you don't mind the long plot building stretch from episodes 2-6 though.
